Congo Blue Design is a leading lighting design company in South Africa and is headed by renowned lighting designer Declan Randall.
Congo Blue Design specialises in lighting design and consulting for both theatrical and architectural lighting environments and has over ten years of professional experience in lighting design. Congo Blue Design is unique in that we use our extensive theatrical design experience as a basis for all our design philosophies.

Since its inception in 2000, Congo Blue Design has steadily grown to become one of South Africa's leading lighting design companies, whose theatrical lighting designs have won several awards and have been seen internationally in Australia, China, India and parts of Europe. Over the years we have been involved in numerous projects in both the live entertainment and architectural environments bringing our unique touch to many shops, hotels, casinos, churches and theatres often devising solutions to new challenges including the design of custom light fittings for specialised applications.

Congo Blue Design has also consulted on many theatres including the recent upgrade of the lighting systems at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg and we are also the Consulting Designers for the Barnyard Theatres.
Congo Blue Design also offers set design, weekend training workshops (SLMC - Stage Lighting Master Class), production management, technical direction and lighting consulting services. Congo Blue are the South African distributors for ROSCO products.
